Voting Process
Please follow these steps to put a proposal up for a KOC Board vote. We hope this process allows everyone to review and give their thoughts and feedback on a proposal. KOC functions as a collaborative group and everyone's input is welcome and encouraged. Please also note that everyone is welcome to submit a proposal (it doesn't have to be a KOC Board member).
| Step | Timespan | Notes |

| 1. Proposal is circulated to the main KOC list for feedback and revisions. | 2 days | Proposals may require different timespans for discussion. 2 days is a general guideline. This can be longer or shorter depending on the discussion. |
| 2. Formal proposal in its final form is sent to the main KOC list, put on the Board Votes wiki (this page), and sent to the Board List for a vote. | 1 week | Voting opens and if no majority decision is reached within one week the proposal fails, not to be resurrected without starting over. |
| 3. Vote results are relayed to the main KOC list. | 1 day | After vote is determined, the results should be sent to the main KOC list within one day. |
